# Close Account

DELETE https://api.modernfi.com/digital-banking/v1/accounts/{account_id}

This endpoint closes an account after verifying access. The account's ledger balance must be zero before closure: requests for accounts with a non-zero balance are rejected. Withdraw remaining funds first, via your integration or a booked withdrawal.

## Authentication
